What you will be able to do

Are you ready to join the Central Software organization where you will be responsible for the procurement, assignment, installation and general management of software development tools? You will join a team responsible for building and deploying a large scale build and deployment pipeline in a hybrid cloud environment, assisting teams by understanding their software development practices and creating automation and integrations that help the teams achieve better traceability. You will also be a key contributor, helping to implement traceability patterns and establish leading practices to help teams spend more time on developing software and gathering feedback and less time feeding tools to achieve the documentation requirements of our processes. You will:

  • Automate everything
  • Build and deployment of pipeline design and implementation
  • Assisting in the on-boarding of new Development Teams
  • Be designing, building and implementing cross tool integrations
  • Provide limited tool support
  • Responsible for tool “Life Cycle” management
  • Maintain Supplier/Vendor relationships
  • Develop and maintaining documentation for tools
  • Handle Client and Server side asset tracking for tool licenses
  • Forecast future license needs
  • Work with buyers and procurement teams to procure new and additional licenses
  • Identify capability gaps in tools and designing solutions to close those gaps
  • Develop training for a wide breath of tools in the PD Software Engineering space
  • Work with IT Partners on tool roadmaps and budgets

The minimum requirements we seek

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Network and Systems Administration, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience with Embedded Software Development
  • 2+ years of experience with asset management

Our preferred requirements

  • 2+ years of administering Debian based Linux distributions
  • 2+ years of experience with Web Based Software Development
  • 1+ year of experience integrating and automating tools (e.g. GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, Nexus, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the AUTOSAR Platform (Classic and Adaptive)
  • Proficient in high level languages (e.g. Ruby, Groovy, Java, Python, etc.)
  • Strong C and C++ skills
  • Basic understanding of Containers
  • Experience with cloud orchestration (Google Cloud preferred)
  • Experience with Model Based Development in Matlab Simulink
  • Familiarity with process capability frameworks (e.g. CMMI, ASPICE, APQP, ISO9001, etc.)
  • Experience with tools that facilitate the System V model as it pertains to Software Engineering
