Position: Inventory Manager
Client: Tier 1 Automotive Supplier
Location: Remote
Duration: 24 month contract with possible extension
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

Provide ongoing management and process improvements for the DCLAN and Lab network hardware inventories including the Capacity on Demand (CoD) inventory. For the CoD inventory, monitor stock levels and recommend when a new order is needed to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained to keep up with demand.

Provide ongoing management and process improvements for the DCLAN and Lab cabling inventories including a forecasting process to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained to keep up with demand.

Submit APLM requests to initiate the purchase order process for DCLAN and Lab network hardware, software and cabling. (quotes will be provided by Planners)

Provide ongoing management and process improvements to track order/approval progress and delivery status. Upon receipt, inventory the items, secure in network storage and provide status updates to Planners

Provide ongoing coordination and process improvements for lease returns of DCLAN network hardware. Coordinate decommission of devices with DCLAN Planners, manage collection and inventory of equipment, handle packaging and return shipment. Verify receipt by lessor for all returns.

Carefully monitor removal or addition of items from all inventories.

Maintain a process to control who has physical access to add/remove items from network storage and a method to properly document all removals and additions (what/who/when, associated PO numbers, projects, etc.). Ensure that items are removed for appropriate purposes only.

Apply innovative thinking and problem solving to improve all aspects of logistics and inventory management.

Generate data to provide input and improve accuracy of annual budget forecasts.
