IT Project Manager
Our esteemed client is seeking a proficient Information Technology Project Manager to spearhead end-to-end lifecycle management of IT projects. The ideal candidate will adhere to established project management guidelines, recommend enhancements, and ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct project management in strict compliance with standard project management policies and guidelines.
- Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects using established processes, tools, and techniques.
- Coordinate project work efforts with assigned resources, including Business Analysts, Quality Analysts, Developers, Stakeholders, and Sponsors.
- Provide support to Business Analysts in requirements gathering.
- Provide weekly status reports to the PMO and project sponsor, highlighting project issues, risks, and change requests.
- Participate in cross-project planning to resolve conflicts in priorities, resourcing, schedule, and scope.
- Assist with project team assessments and evaluations.
- Maintain/update the PMO’s information management system.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentation materials for steering committee meetings.
- Recommend improvements to project management policies/procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the Project Management Office.
- Participate in project team meetings.
- Assist with special projects, reports, and other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies:
- Proficiency in PMBOK processes, techniques, and tools.
- Familiarity with SDLC/ITIL.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Quick grasp of new technologies, with an ability to learn, understand, and apply them effectively.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, planning, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams, functions, and departments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent non-U.S. degree.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is desirable but not required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of the system development life cycle.
