Position: Packaging Engineer
Duration: 51 weeks. 3 days with possible extension
Location: Toledo, OH
Pay Rate: $36.13/hr
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

Perform projects to reduce packaging material, processing, distribution, and damage costs.

Resolve complex product and packaging issues.

Develop and apply graphic design elements and product.
-
Identification standards for packaging materials.
-
Coordinate packaging requirements with plants, other departments, sources, and customers.

Stay current on new technology and new developments.
-
Apply high quality network/synchronous organization and lean strategies to achieve process improvement and promote teamwork.
Required Skills:
-
Expert knowledge of Testing, Design, Packaging processes.

Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge with Lotus Notes or other email communication tools.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Ability to work well with a team.
-
Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to create blueprints and technical drawings.

Education/Experience:
-
Bachelor?s Degree in Packaging or other related technical area.
-
0-2 years of experience required.
