blueStone Staffing is seeking a Production Supervisors for a 12-month role for our automotive client in Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate will have 5 plus years’ experience plus some management experience in a advanced manufacturing facility environment and a strong  interpersonal & communication skills, MS Office skills.

 

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor position requires a high performing, business-oriented professional to work in both an individual and team setting in a highly automated, high volume, advanced manufacturing facility. The role of the Group Leader is to lead team members to perform to daily production requirements by engaging lean manufacturing methodologies. As a member of the leadership team, they oversee all aspects of production, quality and material movement. The Rochester Operations facility is a world class manufacturer of fuel systems and components, include Fuel Injectors, Fabricated Fuel Rails and Integrated Air Modules

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

-Meet production, cost and quality requirements of the customer

-Lead production and operations personnel

-Interact with support organizations to ensure resolution of mfg. Issues

-Administer local & national labor agreements

-Advance competitive strategies and lean manufacturing initiatives

 

Qualifications:

-HS Diploma; Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field highly preferred

(Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Eng., Org. leadership, Business Admin curriculums-Pref.)

– 1-2 years of management experience

-Prior Manufacturing or Automotive experience highly

-Strong desire to work in a team-based, progressive manufacturing setting

-Strong

-Documented leadership &/or team-oriented work experience

-Well developed analytical ability / organizational skills

-Demonstrated potential for upward mobility &/or leadership roles

-Flexibility in terms of both shiftwork and overtime

-Previous supervisory experience with organized labor

-Familiarity &/or application of Lean Manufacturing theory (

-Strong familiarity with Microsoft applications (Excel/Word/Access)

 

Must be willing to work any assigned shift, work daily, weekend, and holiday overtime as required
