QA Test Analyst

Position: QA Test Analyst 
Duration: 52 week contract with possible extension
Location: Hybrid 

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:
 

• Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures 

• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation 

•  Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability 

• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers 

• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content 

• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes 

• Create or maintain databases of known test defects 

• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates 

Required Skills:
 

• 1 -5 years of software development experience with Java 

• 3+ years of Test Automation implementation experience 

•  3+ years of software development and/or software testing experience 

•  Experience performing User Acceptance Testing within multiple channels (desktop, mobile, web, chat) 

• Experience working with global regions 

• Experience in OnStar business a plus 

• Experience with collaboration tools such as TFS, SharePoint and/or other test tools 

• 1-3 years of experience with DB Tools such as SQL and Oracle 

• Experience with real time and batch systems 

• Ability to clearly communicate with peers, business analysts, and subject matter experts 

• Exceptional writing and verbal communications skills 

• High tolerance for working in a dynamic and shifting environment and able to readily embrace and participate in change initiatives 

• Must be a self-starter, take initiative, and be curious 

• Must be detail oriented while keeping eye on the bigger picture 

• Ability to work with different requirements (global/local) ensuring ability to negotiate successful solutions. 

•  Experience with low-level ad-hoc query tools and a detailed working knowledge developing metrics.
