The Senior Manager, Accounts Payable is accountable for developing, implementing, maintaining, and managing the systems, procedures, policies, and personnel in the corporate Accounts Payable department to ensure adherence to company guidelines for recording and processing disbursements.
Ensures the optimal operation of the accounts payable function by developing and implementing all accounts payable processes and procedures and by continually evaluating processes and procedures to improve functional efficiency. Establishes and implements annual accounts payable department goals with a focus on continuous improvement.
Effectively oversees accounts payable function by assigning and delegating accountabilities, and by providing ongoing instruction. Oversight of hiring qualified staff, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management, and rewarding higher levels of performance. Ensures the accounts payable team is informed and up to date on all current procedures.
Oversees manager on day-to-day functions including accounts payable and T&E submissions ensuring accurate G/L coding, timely payment, and proper authorization and documentation provided on all company disbursements.
Oversight of monthly AP close and monthly financial close and accrual processes.
Serves as the responsible Accounts Payable Department's central point of contact for both internal and external customers by responding to questions, resolving complex vendor and payment issues, and providing information/data in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsible for developing critical key performance indicators for the department and monitoring for continuous improvement.
Sets strategic direction for the department including selection and implementation of system projects and procedures to enhance department efficiency through changes to the system as well as employee processes.
Completes special projects as requested by Finance management in a timely and quality manner by researching and gathering data/information, making an assessment, presenting a recommendation, and effectively implementing recommendations as approved.
Coordinating and collaborating with global AP leads to giving direction on processes/functionality.
Education & Experience
? High School Diploma or GED required. A Bachelor?s degree in a related field (e.g., accounting) or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
? Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in a corporate setting.
? Five plus years of management experience required. Seasoned management and leadership skills.
? Must have large ERP AP experience and business solutions software skills.

? Demonstrated proficiency in the following Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
? Ability to lead and direct staff.
