Senior Manager, IT Platform Engineering
Supervisor: Senior Director, Americas IT Operations
Location: Rosemont, IL (Onsite for 90 days and after is eligible for work from home program)

Responsibilities:
Our client is a excited and eager to find a Senior Manager of IT Platform Engineering to join their team! You will enable the client's businesses across North America through the exceptional deployment and operation of modern IT Platform technologies. This role is responsible for business enablement, systems strategy, capacity management, performance management, preventive maintenance, diagnosing complex issues, and working with various technology disciplines to delivery leading products and solutions. Within this role, you will lead the strategy, planning and delivery of IT platforms including on-premise, cloud and PaaS/IaaS to ensure they are fit for purchase, operating and able to scale with their rapid growth. 

Responsibilities:

  • Investigates and resolves business system impacts focused on infrastructure enablement.
  • Be a terrific partner across the various businesses to deliver business outcomes through the effective and efficient use of technology.
  • Provide direction and follow industry best practices for ITIL operational delivery.
  • Document systems architecture and help train fellow team members.
  • Maintain corporate standards, follow departmental procedures and clearly document projects as required for Audit compliance. 
  • Assist team with advanced technical support for escalated issues and work with vendors to resolve more complex issues.
  • Responsible for support and management of IPE support ticket queue.
  • Respond to Incident Management to identify root causes and strategic solutions to recurring problems.
  • Responsible for monitoring solutions and support of a 24X7X365 global operation.
  •  Create, maintain documentation global infrastructure environments.
  • Research and recommend new technologies, enhancements and configuration changes to improve infrastructure performance and efficiency.
  • Work with users and IT leadership to gain insight on requirements, needs, and user experience.
  • Takes responsibility for the documentation and execution of large-scale projects, actively participating in all phases of the project. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Requirements:
  • Relevant Business Experience in Desktop Support in a Corporate IT environment – 3 to 5 years
  • Technology expertise with the following technologies: Active Directory, Windows10, Microsoft Office, Cisco VPN, IP Networking, Anti-Virus/Malware products, PC Imaging software, ticketing systems Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies in this position:
  • Excellent customer service skills, including both written and oral communications

Must Haves & Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field 
  • Relevant Business Experience in Desktop Support in a Corporate IT environment – 3 to 5 years
  • Technology expertise with the following technologies: Active Directory, Windows10, Microsoft Office, Cisco VPN, IP Networking, Anti-Virus/Malware products, PC Imaging software, ticketing systems
  • Direct experience managing others
