Our client, a Fortune 200 company that employs nearly 49,000 people in 57 countries, is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide functional and technical support to the Manufacturing team.
Duration: 51 Weeks, 5 Days
Location: Milford, MI, 48380
Preferred work schedule: Regular business hours, possible over time on a rare occsassion.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint – Intermediate level
- Knowledge with Lotus Notes or other email communication tool – Intermediate level
- Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally
- Strong written and oral communication skills necessary for meetings and presentations

- Relevant auto industry experience required – 1-3 years

Required Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
GA Job Specific Responsibilities:
1.) Schedule required product test benches and vehicles needed to support the AVG development process.
2.) Support IVER Builds at GMNA PPO Site and Vehicle Assembly Plant
- Lead AVG readiness for Integration Builds at Pre-Production Operations, and all in-plant build events. Ensure test application and supporting systems are ready at start of build.
- Utilize appropriate issues resolution process to identify, track, and resolve engineering concerns identified during Integration Vehicle build
3.) Execute major programs and provide ongoing assembly plant support
- Assure system verification on all AVG application and system changes before releasing or installing at the assembly plants.
- Provide proper authorization to the assembly plants for all parameter and test application changes.
- Lead GVDP EOLT events with Product Engineering
- Support DVT Coordinator in all areas of AVG business at the vehicle assembly plants
- Support all launch (PPV, MVNS) events
- Provide support for ride trip testing at MPG
- Validate ongoing PE changes including WO, TWOs, BPRs, and DTC ignores into GMNA test applications
4.) Implement and support ongoing Global AVG system improvements and deployments
- Integrate Global standard libraries, flash application, test applications and systems (GTS, MVI Comm, CASH) into test applications.
5.) Problem Resolution
- Support resolution process to identify, track, and resolve engineering and manufacturing issues. Including PRTS.
6.) Quality/Warranty Monitoring and Improvements
Support and drive quality, warranty and CI AVG activities
