Our client, a Tier 1 automotive supplier, is currently looking to hire a Supply Chain Engineer to sit in their Chattanooga, TN facility.  This person will be responsible for examining, engineering and improving existing supply chain and business processes and implementing advanced supply chain technologies and capabilities across multiple plant locations.

 

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead Supply Chain process assessment, re-engineering & deployment
  • Responsible for Supply Chain improvement and performance management
  • Responsible for business process design & implementation of MP&L activities
  • Define architecture for plant MP&L policies, process and procedure system in alignment with corporate guidelines
  • Support key users of SAP/ERP systems; translate and balance business needs and system design
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis & business evaluation
  • Responsible for gate reviews as related to MP&L, including internal material flow design, inventory management (batch size optimization, storage concepts, and inventory levels), packaging, receiving, shipping, and visual management
  • Develop cost packaging concepts for newly awarded programs and improvement of existing packaging
  • Support Corporate Logistics Manager on the development and optimization of external logistics network

 

Requirements for consideration include:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in supply chain, Engineering or business-related field (Masters Degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive responsibility in Supply Chain or Operations in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated process change management experience
  • Plant layout, material flow optimization and new model launch experience
  • Experienced in process and procedure engineering, deployment and control
  • Experience presenting and leading change in new MP&L concepts
  • Demonstrated experience in LEAN Material Flow concepts
  • Familiar with APQP, MMOG/LE, TS 16949

 

This is a fulltime, salaried role that requires a daily presence in Chattanooga, TN.
