Windows Server Administrator will be responsible for providing Level 2 support and development for managing the server infrastructure in Enterprise Data Centers and Distributed locations globally. The candidate should be passionate about scripting and automating administration tasks to drive efficiency through creative thinking with reliability and consistency. Position Duties: Applicants are expected to have a broad background in Microsoft Server Operating System administration along with strong scripting skills and technical knowledge related to server hardware and software, enterprise computing, and general networking competencies. Must have strong team skills and a customer-support background handling complex hardware and software systems. Be able to drive problem resolution by meeting the application SLAs with a customer centric view. The individual will be responsible for administration, automation, monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for Microsoft Windows Server environments. . Candidate will work as a member of a team providing triage for Microsoft Windows Server issues. . Develop and support internally developed toolset / scripts to automate tasks and manage infrastructure. . Conducts in-depth troubleshooting using their expertise, pre-existing knowledge base, documentation, and assigns priorities to incidents. . Performs break/fix actions when applicable for hardware and software following documented procedures, and adhering to change control guidelines and polices. . Proficient with scripting and automating tasks. . Incident resolution may involve working with internal specialists and external suppliers (e.g., field support, carriers, and vendors). . General knowledge of an enterprise monitoring/alerting tools.
Proficient in Windows Server Operating Systems Administration, Troubleshooting and Fine Tuning. Windows Server 2000 to Windows Server 2019 .
Strong scripting, automation and development skills with PowerShell, VB .Net, VBScript and SQL .
Microsoft Windows Server Failover Clustering and Active Directory basic administration.
MCSA or MCSE: Server Infrastructure preferred.
5+ years of experience in a Data Center environment supporting Windows server infrastructure and associated toolset
Familiar with Windows Server Administration Best Practices, Security standards and configuration management.
Proficient in scripting and automating tasks using PowerShell, VB .Net, VBScript and SQL.
Experience with IIS, hosting public and private websites
Familiar with MS SQL DB and 3 tier application hosting architecture . Experience with virtualization: VMware vSphere ESXi, and/or Microsoft Hyper-V. . Understanding of Routers; Firewalls; Switches; Hubs; NICs; SAN, NAS, File and Print Servers.
Experience with security tools: Norton SEP, CSP, FireEye . Backup Software: IBM Tivoli TSM, Veeam . Experience automating system management and monitoring using SCCM. . Experience supporting enterprise disaster recovery solutions. . Team player with effective problem-solving skills and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including, but not limited to, procedures and technical documentation.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent preferred.
