Our client is a Fortune 50 company and one of the world's largest Automotive manufacturing company, is looking to hire Test Automation Engineer. A technical expert, who is a self-starter with an innate aptitude for technology.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
· A critical thinker with a specific approach to problem solving. 
· Views “problems” as parts of an overall system, rather than reacting to a specific part, outcomes or events and potentially contributing to further development of unintended consequences.
· A meticulous professional who can break complex problems down and is able to scope, plan and execute solutions to these complex real world problems.
· Prior work experience in computerized continuous integration is heavily desired.
· Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the business.
· Able to take highly technical discussions to the appropriate level to foster proper understanding to drive decisions and forward progress.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to lead/manage large teams of cross-functional professionals.

Specific Responsibilities of this Position:
· Responsible for executing both manual and automated test scripts to verify Infotainment component functional and performance requirements.
· Configure benches to support specific test scenarios.
· Characterize and document defects including identifying steps to reproduce, linking failures to requirements, and collecting all associated test logs.
· Develop and Update test cases as required.
· Interact with multiple engineering fields (Systems Engineering, Software Development, Validation, Suppliers) to support defect resolution.
· Plan and manage execution of weekly verification testing.
· Manage weekly build promotion including Sanity test planning, critical issue escalation and develop response to additional test requests.
· Coordinate test assignments for a large multi-functional team to ensure that all test requirements are met.
· Lead, collaborate, and improve testing on Infotainment ECU.
· Verify operation of Infotainment features that function on CAN, Ethernet and LIN communication protocols.
· Provide regular status updates and complete documentation and test results.
· Perform Diagnostics, Partial Network and DPS Calibration testing.

Required Skills and Experience:
· Must be intimately familiar with build and test automation technologies like Hudson, Jenkins, xUnit, Jubula, Selenium, Sahi and other tools.
· Should be comfortable with web-enabled workflow and monitoring tools.
· Ability to categorize and summarize test results data and a keen sense for data visualization would be a plus.
· Should be comfortable doing hands on work including installing operating systems and necessary JEE stack components.
· Must have had prior experience working in a Linux/VMWare based server farm environment
· Must be fluent in scripting languages like perl, tcl/tk, bash scripts.
· The successful candidate will have hands on knowledge about Linux system administration tools.
· Ability to create system level diagrams and the necessary documentation when required.
· Must be extremely comfortable defining or reviewing class diagrams, sequence diagrams and object oriented methodologies
· The successful candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of inter-networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, firewalls, Local and Wide Area Networks.
· Familiarity with standard communication protocols and technologies like FTP, SFTP, Telnet, JDBC/ODBC, C++/C/C#, JEE, Object pooling etc. will be a requirement.
· Successful candidate should demonstrate strong written/verbal communications, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills including willingness and ability to document and share information with team members.
· The ideal candidate should be comfortable walking the stack and heap of a core dump to diagnose runtime behaviours of popular platforms like JEE and .Net.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Experience with computerized high availability technologies that include cloud computing, load balancing, clustering, NOSQL, SAN, NAS, massively horizontally scalable architectures is desired.
· Experience in virtual and cloud based technologies that VMWare, Xen, VirtualBox, Amazon EC2 and Azure is desired.

Education and Training:
· Bachelor's degree required (technical discipline preferred).
· Master's degree preferred (technical discipline preferred) or equivalent work experience.
