Programmer Analyst 4 – SharePoint

Our organization, a renowned healthcare department in Michigan, is on the lookout for a Programmer Analyst 4 – SharePoint. We need a skilled professional who can handle a broad spectrum of information system programmer/analyst tasks. This includes designing, developing, testing, and implementing computer systems and applications.
Your primary role will be as a SharePoint developer for the Data, Analytics, & Visualizations Division. You will be involved in various assignments that aim to develop, enhance, and maintain our division’s SharePoint sites.
Your Responsibilities:
- Participate in project review meetings and workgroups.
- Design and document IT solutions in line with the State of Michigan standard technology.
- Create solutions for specific application needs.
- Develop software code based on design.
- Adhere to coding Standards and Best Practices.
- Create, update, and maintain systems’ and IT programs’ documentation, including system specs and flow diagrams.
- Monitor the status and progress of the team’s work requests and help desk tickets.
- Maintain consistent availability to the clients/customers during client working hours.
- Test the system and associated design to ensure compliance with the business rules.
- Identify potential impacts of changes and research, test, and recommend new development tools, languages, upgrades, and equipment.
- Apply State of Michigan systems development life cycle and Agile development methodologies to support SharePoint and application development and maintenance.
- Assist with requirements gathering and documentation for SharePoint sites while meeting with staff and users.
- Design and develop test plans and assist in documenting testing results for applications.
- Provide SharePoint training and assistance to division staff as needed.
Your Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years of experience with SharePoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical terminology at a level appropriate to the audience.
- Ability to effectively work independently or with a software development team, make decisions related to assigned tasks, analyze business requirements, create design specifications, and construct and test SharePoint sites.
- Working knowledge of MS Office 365 Suite.
- Knowledge and/or experience in Azure DevOps, Power BI, Business Objects, Tableau, SQL, or Linux is desirable, but not required.
