Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a knack for managing complex, high-value projects? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
We are in search of a Project Manager to oversee a $20+ million modernization endeavor. This challenging project will require robust change and vendor management skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft DevOps.
What you'll be doing…
- Designing, planning, and coordinating work teams in line with standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework.
- Understanding the business and technical objectives of the project and collaborating closely with project sponsors.
- Creating project charter and work plan, tracking budget and schedule progress via appropriate metrics.
- Establishing project organization and methodologies, defining roles and responsibilities.
- Managing scope, documenting risks, and developing mitigation plans.
- Building an effective team, assigning tasks to team members, and evaluating outcomes.
- Communicating to stakeholders and project sponsors, identifying, tracking, and ensuring resolution of issues and removal of barriers.
- Providing technical support to project members, handling complex application features and technical designs.
- Directing corrective actions in any area when performance falls below objectives, arranging for the assignment of responsibility to other supporting facilities, business areas, and support functions, and monitoring their performance.
The right person has…
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects with budgets greater than $20 million.
- 5 years Agile Leadership Experience.
- Past 5 years of experience as a Project Manager working on IT Projects.
- Documented experience managing an IT project in a large, complex enterprise-governed IT ecosystem.
- Microsoft DevOps Experience.
- Program management experience; experience working with other project managers to ensure technology integration between systems is highly desired.
- Must be local to Lansing, Michigan area. Work will be Tuesday and Wednesday in office; Monday, Thursday, and Friday can be remote (non-negotiable).
- Previous SOM experience is highly desired.
