Project Manager 3
We’re on the hunt for an experienced Senior Project Manager (PM3) to join our dynamic team at the State of Michigan Project Management Office. This role involves supporting the Department of Treasury and Michigan Gaming Control Board with a high-priority, multi-year project. As a key member of the DTMB Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), you’ll work closely with DTMB Agency Services technical teams and agency executives/stakeholders. Your primary focus will be the delivery of the TREAS APPS PCI Compliance Project for 2024 – 2025. This includes work related to secure network, account management, incident response planning, and completion of SAQ-A.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Using the State of Michigan’s Project Portfolio Management Tool (Clarity) to prepare project schedules, assign resources, and manage budgets.
- Preparing information for presentations to various audiences, including executives, managers, and project team members.
- Monitoring, controlling, and communicating project progress by actively managing cost, schedule, scope, resources, quality, and risks.
- Providing clear, timely, and accurate communications with stakeholders on the status of the project.
- Providing leadership and fostering collaborative participation between technical and business teams.
- Developing and maintaining key SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing interfaces related communication with other agencies.
- Ensuring the project adheres to the SUITE PMM and System Engineering Methodology (SEM).
- Facilitating and enforcing the Change Management process when the project deviates from the approved scope, schedule, or budget.
- Creating project Corrective Action Plans (CAP) when necessary for projects in yellow or red status.
- Understanding the project benefits and the impact of change requests to the benefits business cases.
- Reviewing and understanding vendor contracts to actively manage the vendor deliverables.
- Facilitating interactions among stakeholders by clarifying expectations and ensuring all deliverables are assigned, reviewed, and completed.
Qualifications
