Job Title: Tax Senior Manager (remote)
Position Summary:
The Senior Tax Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the firm's tax department, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the department's growth and sustainability. This multifaceted position encompasses responsibilities such as staff workload management, scheduling, client development, strategic planning, billing, and efficient production. Additionally, it involves showcasing tax expertise, ensuring accurate and timely tax return filings, and strategically positioning clients and staff for growth and value-driven opportunities.
Essential Job Functions:

Tax Expertise: Preparation and review of tax returns for businesses, individuals, and various entities.

Client Relations: Handling routine client matters, addressing technical queries, and providing valuable tax advice to clients. Cultivating and maintaining direct client relationships.

Business Growth: Targeting and acquiring new clients through collaboration with other business development activities.

Strategic Tax Planning: Delivering value to clients through strategic tax planning, succession and ownership planning, ownership agreement structures, compensation planning, mergers and acquisitions, and entity selection.

Billing Management: Preparation and oversight of billing processes and procedures on a monthly basis.

Department Leadership: Overseeing staffing, strategy, processes, procedures, and performance of the tax department to meet established goals.

Tax Examinations: Leading federal, state, and local tax examinations and mediation.

Income Tax Provisions: Preparing federal, state, and local provisions for income taxes (preferred but not required).

ASC 740 Knowledge: Understanding of ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes.

Firm Involvement: Active participation in firm committees and activities. Promotion of the firm's positive image in the community and through involvement in professional organizations.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 7+ years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of management experience.
- CPA certification in good standing.
- Advanced computer literacy, including proficient use of all Microsoft Office products.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
