What you'll be doing…
- Designing, maintaining, and implementing test automation frameworks for continuous integration and execution models.
- Creating and developing automation scripts, while also participating in peer reviews.
- Establishing repeatable processes for designing, developing, and executing scripts.
- Conducting tests, documenting and analyzing test results, and presenting findings to development teams.
- Designing the testing approach (Unit, Functional, Integration, System, User Acceptance and Automated Testing) in line with the State of Michigan standards (SUITE) and collaborating with stakeholders for review and approval.
- Preparing comprehensive reports on all aspects related to software testing carried out.
- Participating in project meetings including Agile/Scrum grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and daily stand-ups.
- Collaborating within an agile software development process with software engineers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
- Designing and developing UI automation tests.
- Loading test scripts within automated test tools.
- Working with test engineers to implement new automation scripts and diagnose problems with existing scripts in a Continuous Integration environment.
- Identifying automation framework and making recommendations for improvements.
- Defining, developing, and implementing automation best practices, standards, and procedures.
- Supporting the execution of test scripts during Program Increment system testing and documenting test results.
- Maintaining existing automated test scripts.
- Creating, executing, and maintaining test automation scripts.
- Writing comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs, as well as performing regression testing once resolved.
- Working in an agile environment and understanding agile methodologies.
- Developing and writing automated test scripts and plans to ensure that software functions as expected.
- Creating a Testing Tool Upgrade Plan when tool upgrades are needed.
The right person has…
- 6+ years of experience as an automation tester.
- 4+ years or more hands-on experience in test automation development using automation tools like Provar, Selenium, and Test Complete.
- Hands-on experience with one or more querying languages such as SQL etc.
- Knowledge of various programming languages such as Salesforce, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.
- Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and automation testing tools.
- Experience with HTML and CSS.
- Ability to perform automation testing on web-based applications.
- Experience in maintaining existing automated test scripts.
- Ability to implement, design, and develop solutions to automate most manual testing preparation.
- Experience in creating, executing, and maintaining test automation scripts.
- Ability to write comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs, as well as performing regression testing once resolved.
