Job Description:
My client, a large commercial bank holding company, is seeking an experienced z/OS System Programmer to join a great team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Install, customize, and maintain z/OS operating system software, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, security, and corporate standards.
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization, applying appropriate system tuning and performance improvement techniques.
Design, implement, and maintain system software components, including system exits, SVC routines, and other subsystems.
Support expert system-level debugging, troubleshooting, and problem resolution, working closely with application developers, systems administrators, and other technical teams.
Apply operating system and ISV patches, fixes, and upgrades, ensuring system integrity and compatibility with other software components.

Desired Experience:

5-10 years working as a z/OS Systems Programmer
Experience with installation, customization, and maintenance of z/OS operating system software.
In-depth knowledge of z/OS operating system internals, subsystems, and components.
Experience working with HMC within the z/OS.
