Senior Accountant
Are you a seasoned Senior Accountant seeking the perfect organization to call your “home”? Look no further!
Our client, a Fortune 500 company, is in search of an experienced Senior Accountant, ready to utilize their skills and become an integral part of a dynamic team! This is a hybrid position with two days a week in-office, either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, with 8-hour workdays between 7 am and 5 pm.
What you’ll be doing…
- Ensuring timely completion of monthly accounting tasks including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and other financial close-related tasks.
- Preparing, analyzing, and reviewing general ledger account reconciliations as part of the month-end close process.
- Performing accounting and financial analyses to identify key trends and support critical estimates, such as accruals and reserves.
- Monthly product costing and inventory reconciliation.
- Collaborating cross-functionally and serving as a business partner to aid in the preparation and reporting of financial results.
- Preparing schedules in support of reporting required for SEC disclosures.
- Performing, documenting, and supporting the design and operating effectiveness of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
- Collaborating with internal and external auditors in connection with audits and reviews.
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and leading efforts to implement solutions related to process efficiencies, standardization, system enhancements, and improved reporting capabilities.
- Championing and promoting a strong safety culture and following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identifying and communicating workplace hazards and correcting or seeking assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
The right person has…
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- CPA, CMA, or CFA certification.
- Experience with SAP and JDE accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Previous Energy related experience.
- Enterprise transformation experience.
